This extensive 1/35th scale model in resin, metal and etched brass depicts the Ruston-Bucyrus RB17/19 Crawler Crane as used by Allied Combat Engineers and civilian contractors during WW-II. This equipment was used on all fronts for many applications particularly in British and US naval landing areas, docks, rail-yards, building and bridging areas, and later in the post-war ‘clean up’. It is true to say that this very well known equipment continued to be used for decades post-war and some may even still be in service today!
This model is fitted with the standard 2-part 40 foot jib. Jib extension sets of 10-feet (A080), and 5-feet (A081) are also available to extend the jib length out to a scale 65 feet! The model includes full internal detail, engine, drivers seat and winch controls. The jib is etched brass with plastic angle channel edges for maximum strength. Decals are also included for both British and U.S. Army operation.
