The Centurion ARV Mk-2 was the standard British Armoured Recovery Vehicle (ARV) from 1956 onwards and some served during the Gulf War of 1990/91 with the final vehicle leaving service in 1995. It's flexibility, reliability, power and comprehensive recovery equipment made it one of the best ARV's of it's era. Most of these ARV's were converted from gun tanks resulting in two distinct versions; with 'long' hull (Based on Centurion Mk-1/2) or 'short' hull (based on Centurion Mk-3/5). The majority of the 300+ produced were short hull vehicles.
This very comprehensive 1/35th scale resin conversion set by Derek Hansen and Rob Tearle converts 1/35th scale AFV Club Centurion tank kits* to depict one of the standard 'short' hull ARV's Mk-2. This basic version was also supplied to all countries around the world who used Centurion gun tanks (sometimes in modified form)
This conversion set features full recovery equipment, cables, rear anchor spade, spade frame jib and all standard stowage, bumper bar, snatch blocks and gun planks. Commanders 0.30 Browning MG is also included.
